Our Mission
We strive to immerse our members in the world of rocketry and engineering, developing essential skills and experiences valuable for industry careers.
In 2025, our team placed 12th overall against over 170 teams from all over the world at the The International Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC).
We’re excited to return in 2026 and compete in the 10k Hybrids category.
Every active member of SEDS-RD will obtain an L1 HPR (High Power Rocketry) certificate, being taught by experienced members of the club. All materials will be provided by the club. Members who obtain L2 will give back & lead a cert class: building leaders!

Get hands-on engineering experience you won’t find in a class. Earn your L1 HPR certificate using club-provided materials. Applications open at the beginning of each semester. All years and majors are encouraged to apply!
